Here at ASAP Skids, the heart of our business is in the Deer Park Washington headquarters, where that focus is centered on solid engineering and innovative product design. In order to deliver the highest quality products to the marketplace we had been challenged to find a partner with that same focus on the manufacturing side of our business. In fact, through our first twelve years of operations, ASAP Skids worked with eight different manufacturing partners to build products from recycled plastics. During that period, due to acquisitions, price increases, or the inability to maintain our high standards of material quality, we chose to end each of those relationships.

Things made a turn for the better in 2011 when we packed up our fabricating fixtures and multi-head drilling machines, among other things, and moved production to Plastic Recycling of Iowa Falls, Inc. The Iowa facility produces the highest quality recycled plastic raw materials and now provides the manufacturing of our finished products, and they do it all in one location. Now that the raw materials are supplied from within the product manufacturing facility, the cost of transporting those materials has been completely removed and helps to keep our prices low. In addition, moving our production to the central United States has reduced the cost of shipping our finished products around the nation, allowing us to reduce our prices even further. Finally, the 104,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space, seven production lines, and two raw-material processing lines gives us the capacity to deliver on orders of nearly any size and scope.

All that being said, the true power of our partnership with a top notch contract manufacturer like Plastic Recycling of Iowa Falls is that it allows the Washington State Office to attend to growing the business through sales and marketing, and most importantly, for our president Keith Adkins to truly focus on engineering and design. Iowa has streamlined the production of the plastic pallets, plastic skids and composite plastic crates for which ASAP Skids is known.
