QUALITY: ASAP Products Pay for Themselves

Imagine your return-on-investment on a super-duty shipping and handling product that is: nearly indestructible; modular and repairable; immune to the natural forces that attack organic materials; and recyclable. That’s money in the bank.

Before Testing

Destructive bend testing is performed once extruded materials have cooled for a minimum of 24 hrs. 12” samples are randomly taken for deflection tests performed on 25-ton press equipment; assuring the 100% recycled profile materials meet specifications.

After Testing

ASAP receives the plastic profile and during its manufacturing process, 12” samples are randomly taken to perform another deflection test on identical 25-ton test equipment as a second verification of the durability of the profile prior to drilling and assembly.

Quality Control Program

ASAP has a quality control program which consists of many aspects; using a single contracted source for purchase of its plastic profile, bend tests performed at profile manufacturers facility, bend testing performed again during skid production at ASAP, and sequentially numbered identification tags placed on each skid produced. ASAP’s profile manufacturer uses only contracted industrial sources for purchase of its raw materials. This ensures consistency in the plastic properties of the 100% recycled content profile produced every time.

Particularly critical in specialized closed loop and in-house applications, ASAP shipping and handling products exhibit a productive lifespan 100 times longer than traditional products. Typically ASAP shipping and handling systems repay their investment—saving cash you would spend over and over again on inferior alternatives—in 12 to 24 months.

Testing has been conducted on ASAP products at Washington State University and Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University. Click here to download a summary of the reports.

Identification

After assembly but prior to shipping, sequentially numbered identification tags with adhesive backing are screwed onto each skid or pallet. This gives ASAP a record of what size of skid or pallet was produced, the name of the customer, and the assembled date for any warranty issues.

“Winergy effortlessly converted to custom ASAP skids in our closed-loop manufacturing operation of large gearboxes. One of the ASAP custom designs allows our processes to flip a 3 ton part upside down. We are thrilled with the quality service, products and delivery time from ASAP. We highly recommend ASAP to companies that have a need to protect high value products from the rigors of their manufacturing systems.” Jay Huddleston

“Kloeckner Metals Corporation has been using ASAP plastic skids in closed looped systems for transporting steel coil to Mexico since 2006. The skids performance has proved to be cost effective in eliminating the cost of purchasing wood skids as they fail and the cost of fumigation or IPPC required lumber. Because of this proven durability and cost savings, we have implemented ASAP plastic skids in other closed looped systems within our organization. The modular design was another savings, making it possible to configure multiple designs without the expense of tooling. For a durable heavy duty plastic skid or pallet, ASAP offers a great product with excellent service.” Keith D Hanzi
